As with most performing arts presenters, revenue from ticket sales does not cover all the costs of bringing a show to Port Ludlow, covering only about half of the expenses. Remaining support comes from individuals, local businesses, corporations and government agencies, public and private foundations.

PLPA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all contributions are tax-deductible. Our fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30. We hope you will consider making an annual contribution. Donations at any level are appreciated.

Martha's Fund

Established in memory of the late Martha Hicks Dawson, past president and long-time member of the Port Ludlow Arts Council and subsequently, Port Ludlow Performing Arts, this fund is dedicated solely to providing music education outreach to the students of Jefferson County. Please designate in your check memo that you wish your donation to go specifically to this fund

Sponsor

The PLPA concert program is provided to the audience at all seven concerts throughout the season. Generous advertising by local businesses fund printing and production.

In addition to covering printing of the program, these funds also go towards covering the added costs of producing and promoting the concert season as well as augmenting the costs of our student and community outreach.

We wish to express our gratitude to all of the businesses who have sponsored our events!

Volunteer

Volunteers are the lifeblood of PLPA. The PLPA is an all-volunteer organization whose volunteers help with concerts, set up the stage and auditorium, arrange flowers, provide housing for entertainers, prepare dinners for them, set up the lobby for the social hour and intermission, serve beverages, stuff and hand out programs, assist people in finding seats, arrange and serve cookies, sell CDs and other performer merchandise and help clean up the auditorium, hallway and lobby following performances.

The PLPA Board also seeks volunteers with specific talents or expertise — graphic design, artwork, stage design, ticket sales and management, promotional writing, grant writing, photography and photo-editing, volunteer recruiting, sponsor solicitation or special event planning. Contact any PLPA Board member to offer your services.

Get Involved

We always are looking for people who would like to assist at our events by arranging flowers for the lobby, cooking for the performers, decorating tables for cabarets and special events, greeting at the lobby door, handing out programs, preparing refreshments, selling CDs and serving food or beverages.
